个人觉得选A （虽然模考我也选了C）其实我感觉这题在考视角 M认为 shared characteristic看样子相似但其实是独立进化的，说明他认为这些特点在他们ancestor身上没有，只是他们在各自独立的进化过程中进化了刚好一样的特点，但是后面However开始（注意这里就不是M的视角了），发现了可能their common ancestor already possessed 说明有可能是同源的，不过我们不用管这个观点因为题目问的是M
